Leon has been profiled in AWAI’s Monthlycopywritinggenius.com, and one of his campaigns for IBM is featured as a case study in the book “Integrated Direct Marketing, by Wiley. He has won numerous major copywriting awards including Clios and Belding.
He started as a copywriter at Wunderman, the top direct marketing agency in the world, and continued as a copywriter (and eventually creative director) for other major agencies including Young & Rubicam, BBDO, DDB/Needham and Saatchi. Since going freelance about 13 years ago, Leon has continued to write control-beating response copy for a wide variety of clients.

-Helped conceive and develop, and was the sole writer for an asset allocation workbook that Citibank successfully used to attract more prospects to its investment service.

-Wrote the campaign that launched Buyside Magazine, and then helped build it into a major publication for institutional investors.
-Direct response copy that helped build the retirement business of Ameriprise financial.
In addition to copywriting, he also advises clients on marketing strategy. He has developed web marketing strategies that have proven to be extremely effective, such as custom squeeze pages (opt-ins) combined with provocative articles to ignite lead generation campaigns.
